Admiral Micah becomes furious that the President has
permitted Cyrus to carry out the refitting of the Reformer. We shall see
that he has been engrossed in a conspiracy with rival Varshian businessmen
to discredit the reformed Cyrus. They are not aware that Cyrus had a
"conversion experience." As far as they could tell, he had
vanished from the underworld scene for a long time, and suddenly became a
tycoon in the ship yard construction industry.
So these three rivals apparently were Cyrus' bullies when
he was a youngster. It is because of the harassment and torment of these
three bullies, that Cyrus had escaped to the mountains and found himself
being cared for by a solitary Monk order.
They have been asking themselves for so long, what had
become of their weak little victim for over 30 Earth years. Out of the
blue, he comes into the scene and becomes generous, kind and
compassionate. He helped pay for the vaccines that prevented an entire
civilisation from being wiped out by a flesh eating virus, and many other
expressions of compassion for the weak and vulnerable.
As a result of having used his material wealth on disaster
aid projects, Cyrus became well known amongst those
worlds. He just kept on giving without expecting anything back. What made
his heart enriched was what resulted from his kindness and
generosity...lives changed for the better.
It is these acts of kindness that made the three rivals sick to the
stomach. How can someone that had been tormented and mentally scarred
during his young years, suddenly turn out this
way?
In the following acts, we see Cyrus pays a visit
to Omega 9 station, which he had a hand in constructing as his company's
grandest project. He is astounded at the progress that is being made in a
short space of time. He notices that in his absence for 5 years, the
docking control station has made incredible leaps forward in enhancements.
